    Nourish KC Kansa City Community Kitchen

    Meal Distribution: We rescue fresh food, prepare nutritious meals, and distribute them through programs like "Operation Meatball" and "Soup-Scription" to serve more families.

    Food Rescue: Nourish KC’s food rescue efforts are now the foundation of our distribution, ensuring fresh food reaches those in Healthy Food Priority Areas.

  • Nutritional Literacy

    Community education programs designed to empower the health and well-being of families and wider community are offered according to need and interest.

    Culinary Education: We provide classes on healthy eating and meal preparation, enhanced by Nourish KC’s expertise, empowering individuals to make better dietary choices.

    Community Outreach: In partnership with St. Lukes, Spire, Kanbe’s Markets, and The Boys & Girls Club we conduct virtual and live cooking demonstrations and classes to promote nutrition.

    Culinary Training: Our 16-week program at The Nook offers hands-on experience and support services, helping participants gain valuable skills and overcome barriers to employment.

    Employment: Leveraging Nourish KC’s network, we connect graduates with real-world job opportunities in the food industry.

    Social Enterprises: Through catering and food retail at The Nook, we generate revenue and provide job training for our "Prospects."
